Working with a DJ in a workshop setting has been a dream of mine of a long time. The live element of music creates a feedback loop between the participants and the DJ that is palpable. I am interested in this sense of presence and spontaneity that only a live musician or DJ can bring to an event.
Rhythm and movement are our oldest forms of creative expression; from dancing around the campfire as first peoples to the dance clubs of our current time. I hope this workshop opens people up to the notion that yoga can be many things- meditation, movement, asana, dance, creative expression, relaxation and anything that brings more wellness and joy to self and others.
I am very much looking forward to working with Adam Tree to create a fun afternoon together at Stretch. I think this workshop is great for those with some yoga experience, but it will be an all levels class that will appeal to lovers of reggae music. I very much hope you can join us. ONE LOVE!
